Over time, the MSU Beef barns have been in three different locations on campus.  Originally the barns were near Agriculture Hall, north of the Red Cedar River.  In the early 1930’s, new barns were built near Shaw Lane.  In 1953, the “Beef Barn” was moved by cutting it into sections and moving it on wagons and then reassembling it at its present location.  It contains a small classroom, animal health room, shop, temporary pens, and feed storage for the cattle.

Have ideas on how we can make the MSU Beef Center even better?
